Terms & Conditions of booking for Capel Bach holiday cottage Snowdonia

The following Booking Terms together with the general information contained on this website form the basis of your contract for your rental. Please read carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations.

1. CONDITIONS OF RENTAL

Once you confirm your holiday with us, by paying the rental deposit, we enter into a binding contract with each other. Your rental of Capel Bach cottage is considered as holiday accommodation and therefore exempt from security of tenure under the Rent Act.

2. MAKING A BOOKING

  1. To place a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 21 years of age.
  2. Bookings can be made via this website, by email to ollystevenson@aol.com or by telephone 07917 670594. Once a booking enquiry has been received, and subject to availability, we will confirm your booking by email.
  3. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy on the website. However, in addition to the 4 guests, an infant or a child is also permitted to sleep in a portable travel cot. Travel cots are not provided.
  4. Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set out within.
  5. Only the lead guest and the named booking part are allowed to use the property and any 3rd party visitors are only allowed access with our express permission.
  6. To secure a booking we require a deposit to be paid in advance, this deposit is 20% of the total amount.
  7. Additionally, there is a £150 security deposit payable on booking to recover any costs of damage to the property. This will be refunded within 5 day after the rental period has elapsed and once the cottage has been checked following your departure.

3. CANCELLATIONS

  1. For holidays cancelled up to 28 days prior to your arrival arrival any money paid up to the cancellation date, less an administration fee of £25, will be refunded in full.
  2. Where cancellation is made between 28 days and up to 48hrs of the date of arrival 50% of your deposit for the holiday will be refunded.
  3. The owners will do all they can to re-let the property so that you can receive a full reimbursement of your monies.
  4. Cancellation made 48 hours or less of arrival no refund will be issued, and the full amount of the booking will be due.
  5. It is suggested that booking guests take out appropriate holiday cancellation insurance where required.
  6. In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.
  7. All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of any neighbours nearby. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are causing a disturbance or nuisance to others.

5. SMOKING POLICY

The property is strictly no smoking’

6. FAMILIES ONLY

The primary bookee (the Hirer) of your rental for Capel Bach must 21 years of age or older.

7. YOUR CONTRACT

This contract and all matters arising out of it are governed by United Kingdom law. Any dispute arising out of or connected with your holiday will be dealt with by the Courts of United Kingdom.

8. CHANGES / CANCELLATIONS MADE BY US - Capel Bach Cottage

  1. On rare occasions we may have to make changes to and correct errors on the website descriptions and other details both before and after bookings have been confirmed and cancel confirmed bookings.
  2. Whilst we endeavour to avoid changes and cancellations, we must reserve the right to do so. If we have to make a significant change to or cancel your booking we will tell you as soon as possible and refund all monies paid.
  3. We will endeavour to offer you an alternative should a significant change or cancellation occur.
  4. We regret we cannot pay any expenses, costs or losses incurred by you as a result of any change or cancellation and cannot be held responsible beyond full refund of monies received.
  5. Although highly unlikely, we may have to cancel a booking prior to the check in time due to an event outside of our control such as fire, flood or failure of utilities, we will contact you as soon as possible and you will be entitled to a full refund.
  6. This is extremely unlikely but if this situation does occur, we regret we will be unable to pay you any compensation, or meet any costs or expenses you incur as a result.

9. GUESTS RESPONSIBILITY

The Hirer undertakes to keep the premises and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in or on the premises in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the letting and shall report and pay to the owners the value of any part of the premises, furniture, fittings and effects so destroyed or damaged as to be incapable of being restored to its former condition.

10. ANY PROBLEMS

  1. Any problems found with any appliance or fixture or fitting must be reported to the owners who will ensure within a reasonable time that this is repaired, or alternative arrangements made.
  2. Under no circumstances should any guest attempt repairs to the property or its contents. This will invalidate service contracts, warranties and agreements and charges for such repairs will then pass to the Hirer.
  3. Liability for damage done to the property or equipment or for excessive extra cleaning necessary is the responsibility of the person who made the booking.

11. DOG POLICY

1-2 (Small to Medium sized) dogs are welcome at Capel Bach. Please clean up after your dog.

12. GARDEN & DECKING AREA

Please take care on the wooden decking surface when wet.  We cannot be held responsible for any injury incurred.

13. LOST PROPERTY

If any belongings are left behind and a request is made to send them on, we reserve the right to charge a minimum fee of £5 to cover post and packaging.


14. VISITORS

To ensure the comfort and consideration of all of our guests, any visitors need to be agreed by prior arrangement with us.
